Soundminer’s tools are sophisticated - built for searching, authoring, converting, and delivering audio. They just weren’t built for the simple thing I kept needing: shuttling my library across drives, splitting it, or consolidating it. Every existing way to do that either breaks the catalog, takes forever, or both.

Stage, verify, then commit.
Sound Shuttle copies to a staging catalog first, and every file is checksum-verified as it transfers - your originals stay in place, untouched, the whole time. The catalog rewrite is held to an exact row-count invariant, then committed as an atomic swap that can’t leave a half-written catalog. Nothing leaves the source until you promote, and Soundminer keeps working throughout.
Your library is never at risk.
Every move is reversible right up to the moment you promote it. Walk away, come back, change your mind - nothing live has moved until you say the word.
- Stop anytime. Cancel or even quit the app mid-copy and your originals are untouched - nothing live has changed.
- Pick up where you left off. Resume continues from the last file. No re-copying completed files; crash-safe by design.
- Promote with a backup, always. One deliberate confirm swaps the staged catalog live - and a timestamped backup of every catalog is kept automatically.
